    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.


  • Experience
    3 years related Neonatal ICU experience


  • Licenses and Certifications
    (NLC) NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE current Texas (or BNE Compact State) license


(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire and
(DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Valid Texas driver's license Upon Hire

JOB DUTIES



  • Recommend initiatives to address improvement opportunities borne out of data tracking and analysis from within department (events and outcomes) and via national databases. Collaborates with Department Medical Director and nursing managers on initiatives as appropriate, implements training and partners with staff and education to improve quality outcomes. Partner with service line leaders in development of and maintenance of the Health Systems Balanced Scorecard.
  • Presents, communicates and engages staff on quality data. Presents Quality data to all staff within Service Line as appropriate to enhance staff knowledge and infant outcomes.
  • Attend and facilitate all Quality Assessment/Process Improvement meetings to assure staff understanding and engagement in related processes and initiatives. Collates data in PDSA formats as needed for regulatory and/or other purposes. Design reports, analyses and graphic presentation to communicate database volumes, statistics, and other data points.
  • Collaborate with all inter-hospital service providers involved in the care of perinatal patients. Provide outreach initiatives and onsite/offsite competency and information sharing opportunities referring physicians about current treatment modalities for high-risk situations. Collaborate in efforts to educate the public about the kinds of services available and their accessibility.
  • Capture, track and analyze inpatient transports. Communication back to referral sites/providers as appropriate. Coordinates plan of care to include appointments for follow-up of referred patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
