Provide creative vision, leadership, and strategy to advance a culture of high-quality, proactive advising practice across the university. Advance the UC Advising vision and mission, building upon the university's reputation for advising quality, innovation, and demonstrable impact to improving retention and graduation outcomes. Provide leadership coordination and strategy for advising offices across the institution and work in close partnership with several university offices to support student success. Essential Functions
Required Education
Master'sDegree in Education Administration, Counseling, Advising, Student Development, or related field Required Experience
Seven (7) years of higher education administration, advising, student services, or other relevant work experience Two (2) years of supervisory experience of professional staff Progressively responsible administrative experience Additional Qualifications Considered
Demonstrate evidence of exemplary leadership, effective strategic planning, unwavering dedication, and a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of students in an urban setting. History of accomplishing targeted outcomes for students Experience at both 2-year and 4-year schools Physical Requirements/Work Environment
