Overview
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Army Account Executive Manager specializing in the US Army C5ISR domain in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD area. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Army operations, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of fostering relationships within the defense sector. The primary focus of this role is to drive business growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities within Army C5ISR market, facilitating meetings for capability briefings and demonstrations, managing client portfolios, and expanding our market reach through networking and relationship-building activities. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with and relationships at senior levels in the Army, and in particular, with Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) and Program Executive Office Command, Control, and Communications Network (PEO C3N), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center, Army Communications-Electronics Command Development Command (CECOM), Army Research Laboratory, (DEVCOM ARL), DEVCOM Analysis Center, as well as the background/experience to leverage MTSIs broad technologies, capabilities, and expertise to deliver integrated solutions across a multi-domain application space and broad Army customer base as a prime and sub. Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Army C5ISR domain.
- Provide critical linkages between the long-term strategic plan and near-term new business actions.
- Partner with the Army Business Unit leaders, Business Development VP and Technical/Functional teams to ensure effective use of business development and resources across the Division and Company.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve targets and business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Army community.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Facilitation of Meetings and Demonstrations:
- Organize and facilitate meetings for capability briefings and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare presentations, proposals, and materials for client meetings.
- Ensure smooth coordination and communication between all parties involved in the meetings.
Expansion of Market Reach:
- Identify adjacent Army opportunities based on existing customer base and personal connections.
- Attend conferences, industry days, and networking events to generate leads and establish new client relationships.
- Represent the company professionally and effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, related technical field, or Business and minimum of 12 years of experience with Army customers or within Army Programs and/or R&D organizations.
- Direct experience with Army C5ISR customers to include PEO IEW&S, PEO C3N, C5ISR Center, CECOM, DEVCOM ARL and DEVCOM Analysis Center.
- Strong understanding of DoD/ Army operations, procurement processes, and contracting mechanisms.
- Established relationships with Army C5ISR customers, stakeholders, and influencers, with demonstrated ability to develop and foster new relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- This position is in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD area and may include up to 20% travel.
Desired Qualifications
- 15+ years' experience in Army C5ISR, Cyber, and IT technical expertise with 12+ years focused on the Army's efforts in C5ISR Networks to include Network communications, Electronic Warfare and Command/Control systems.
- Proven growth success in Army C5ISR and adjacent Army markets.
- Knowledge of business development best practices, processes, and techniques, coupled with the ability to come up to speed quickly with MTSI procedures.
- Additional knowledge and experience with adjacent capabilities in the areas of Enterprise IT; Cyber Operations, ITSM and Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics is a plus.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active Secret clearance to start; US Citizenship required
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility desired
