What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Lead and oversee the design as well as the cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, maintainability, optimal cost management, and robust cybersecurity.
  • Resolve AWS service issues by managing escalations and working directly with AWS technical support.
  • Provide strategic system design input to the software engineering team, ensuring that infrastructure requirements enhance product maintainability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies and procedures related to the infrastructure process to support regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation and validation processes in accordance with medical device regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and continuously improve AWS service performance, scalability, and operational security.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical operations teams in the US and India by managing cross-time-zone communications and scheduling meetings outside normal working hours when required.
  • Interface with customer IT departments to clearly articulate system requirements and facilitate seamless infrastructure preparation prior to deploying products and services.
  • Train and manage additional AWS expertise to provide round-the-clock support and facilitate efficient issue resolution.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Support setting up and maintaining the Product Development team's environment in AWS.
  • On-site office IT support.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management with extensive hands-on experience in AWS services, infrastructure as code (IaC), cybersecurity, and CD/CI methodologies.
  • Proven track record in systems architecture and design, ideally within a cloud/SaaS or regulated industry environment (such as medical devices).
  • Demonstrated experience with network design, system integrations, and high-availability infrastructure for mission-critical applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage cross-regional teams effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, capable of engaging with internal teams, external vendors, and customer IT departments.
  • Proven ability to manage global projects and work flexibly across multiple time zones and under tight deadlines.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • AWS Certified Solution Architect.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience in the medical device industry, with familiarity with the documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting (e.g., Bash) and Linux command-line operations to understand the application side product behavior, or automations.
