Job Title : Psychologist Supervisor

Location : Gallipolis OH 45631

Duration : 06 months to long term

Shift: Mon-Fir 8-4:30pm - no wkds /holidays - can work 24-40 hours/flexible days

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Psychology Assistant positions at the Developmental Center (including performance evaluations, scheduling/timekeeping, training, and disciplinary actions).
  • Evaluate, authorize, and ensure that plans, programs, treatments, therapies, and testing for residents comply with professional and regulatory standards
  • Develop and implement treatment programs for residents based on diagnosis, interviews, data analysis (including behavior data and psychological test results), recommendations from the interdisciplinary team, and personal history.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Serve as chairperson of the Human Rights Committee, reviewing and authorizing requests for restrictive measure usage to ensure they are appropriate and humane, considering past trauma.
  • Conduct routine psychological evaluations, report results to the interdisciplinary team, and write portions of Individual Service Plans (including personal growth strategies and psychological history).
  • Assess individuals for suicide precautions and determine when such precautions are no longer necessary.
  • Participate in psychiatric drug reviews, admission/discharge meetings, and provide input to the team.
  • Evaluate individuals for competency, provide results to appropriate parties, and offer subject matter expert testimony.
  • Train staff (including new hire orientation, annual training, and specific home/individual training).
  • Attend conferences and training to maintain professional licensure.
  • Supervise psychology interns and provide feedback to academic institutions.
  • Contribute to facility and departmental policies related to psychological and behavioral issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


License and Certification:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Healthcare-professional level CPR certification.
  • Ohio Medical License.
  • COVID-19 vaccination card or exemption letter.
  • TB test (less than 30 days old).
  • Drug screen (HireRight - BCI background and NDOT 9 Panel Drug Test w/eCOC-3.0).
  • Physician-administered physical exam.
