From shelf to plate, color has the power to expand the sensory experience of a food or beverage product, allowing consumers to eat with their eyes. Combined with a pinch of imagination, natural colors can be transformed into many creative solutions for our customers that give you your food and beverages of choice.

Reporting to the Sense Colour Senior NPD Manager for Americas, you will lead Natural color development projects, direct research initiatives and support knowledge sharing to promote our growth.

• Technical Leadership: Prepare color samples for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, and physical testing. Formulate new color creations or modify existing to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development Coordinate the evaluation of color materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for color development. Lead customer visits.

• Knowledge Sharing and Team Collaboration: Participate in large research, customer, and internal technical projects to create innovative colors. Be the technical expert to marketing, sales, and customers for discussions on Natural color performance, raw materials and botanical sources, and stability aspects of multiple natural color sources and be able to discuss the science behind the aspects of performance. Provide technical support resolve color production issues and customer complaints with complete ownership of created colors.

• Mentor and Train: Build a diverse and inclusive environment that leverages differences in styles, thinking and approaches. Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment observing EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines, and participate in designing the rules which are required.

You?

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or other science area.
• 5+ years' experience in colors with training in color blending and testing in finished product for performance and stability.
• Experience with Natural colors with an advanced level of understanding for a colors and their botanical sources.
• Knowledge of color raw materials and related ingredients with the ability to formulate blends to achieve performance for customer briefs, problem solving processes, research and development needs
• Knowledge of local and regional regulatory requirements for Natural colors.
