Senior Finance Manager
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $150,000 per year + 15% annual bonus
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Job Overview:

A dynamic organization is looking for a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join their team at their Brooklyn headquarters. This position will support the Vice President of Finance in managing a variety of core corporate functions, including real estate finance, treasury operations, insurance management, tax compliance, and corporate administration.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of high-impact responsibilities while collaborating with multiple departments and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Real Estate Finance

  • Analyze financial performance of real estate assets

  • Prepare monthly and year-end close reports, including executive summaries

  • Work with Accounting to ensure accuracy in financial reporting

  • Monitor capital project budgets, vendor payments, and purchase orders

  • Lead ERP system setup for Real Estate financials and vendor integration

  • Develop key performance metrics and conduct ad hoc financial analysis

  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Approve payments through the banking portal and ensure internal compliance

  • Maintain and forecast cash flow; provide insights to executive leadership

  • Monitor banking fees and team workflows; suggest process improvements

  • Assist with banking system transitions and optimization projects

Insurance Administration

  • Maintain insurance documentation and reconciliations

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and month-end reporting

  • Coordinate insurance applications, audits, and deadlines with brokers

  • Support overall insurance administration and financial tracking

Tax Compliance

  • Prepare and submit required tax filings and documents

  • Coordinate with service providers and government agencies

  • Ensure timely payments through state portals

  • Support tax budgeting and performance tracking

Corporate Administration

  • Manage corporate registrations, certifications, and annual reports

  • Organize and maintain business filings and financial records

  • Monitor accounting inbox for timely response to notices and deadlines

  • Provide general support across corporate finance operations as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or corporate financial management

  • Strong project management and multitasking skills

  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage deadlines

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

  • Experience with ERP systems and finance process improvement is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of corporate real estate finance, treasury, and tax operations is a plus

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
