Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for maintaining customer accounting records and relationships with internal professionals and clients to create and send invoices and ensure the collection of payments. The position involves daily tasks, such as reviewing invoices, posting cash receipts, processing payments, and assisting internal and external stakeholders with informational requests. The role requires integrity, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.

*Preference will be given to candidates who are located and/or can work Pacific Time (8am - 5pm PST).*

Responsibilities:

  • Complete final invoice review and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Execute Cash Application activities by posting timely and accurate client payments, resolving unallocated cash, mitigating and reconciling payment discrepancies, and supporting auto-cash posting.
  • Actively engage with internal professionals and clients to ensure timely solutions to inquiries and ad hoc requests involving the billing and payment process.
  • Identify accounts with outstanding invoices, contact clients to review the status of their account and resolve past due balances by sending reminders and/or account statements via phone and/or email.
  • Prepare journal entries and support the preparation of AR account reconciliations, as needed.
  • Assist in streamlining the A/R process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and provide support for other accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ Years of accounts receivable experience.
  • Experience with B2B collections.
  • Experience in professional services environment is a plus.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and skilled in other MS Office products.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain accurate records.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong ability to follow through and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Customer service focused and solution oriented.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines, with demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be comfortable and exhibit strong customer service skills when dealing with clients, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management, providing excellent client service for internal stakeholders.
  • Strong desire to continuously learn.

Compensation Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
