Thank you for your interest in a 2026 summer associate position with Choate Hall & Stewart LLP. We are looking for students who have a record of academic and professional achievement to join our 2026 Summer Associate Program.

In addition to academic success, we seek candidates who are driven and who offer perspectives and talents shaped by a broad range of socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and personal backgrounds. We value proven leadership, dedication to team success, a strong work ethic, and the ability to approach challenges thoughtfully and creatively.

Selection Criteria

To apply to this "early action" position you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have an intention to practice in Boston after graduation;
  2. Have done your research where you feel you are prepared and ready to accept an offer if extended within a two-week time frame; and
  3. Have a record of strong academic and professional achievement.

If you do not meet these criteria (or your school precludes applying prior to their pre-OCI or OCI programs) please apply through your career services office for OCI or a resume collect, if applicable. If neither of these are options at your school, please apply through the link on the Choate.com website, which will open in June.

Schedule
The Firm is currently operating in a hybrid model, with the requirement that everyone should be in the office at least four days per week. This schedule is subject to change dependent on Firm, department and client needs, and will be routinely evaluated.
Application Process
We will accept applications on a rolling basis from April 14, 2025 through May 2, 2025 at 5PM ET.
For consideration, please provide the following information:
  • Current Resume;
  • Cover Letter - This should indicate your department of interest and what drives you to want to work in BigLaw in Boston;
  • Transcript from law school; and
  • Transcript from undergraduate/graduate institutions.
Work Authorization

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by the Firm (either now or in the future).
