Job Summary The Account Representative is responsible for implementing commercial strategies through the promotion of the specialty injectable portfolio. Primary focus is to grow sales by developing customer relationships for GPO contract compliance. Promote and gain market share on new product launches, maximize opportunities that promote Fresenius Kabi's broad portfolio of products. Manage a territory that consists of health care customers ranging from Hospitals, Surgery Centers, Oncology Centers, Pharmacy Compounders, and Government Facilities. In addition, develop and manage relationships at a regional level with pharmaceutical wholesaler and distribution partners. The Account Representative will manage and maintain existing accounts, generate new business and establish new account relationships with assigned customers, and promote product lines and programs.

The territory covers: Kentucky, Cincinnati Metro, Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois. The ideal candidate will live in Louisville, Cincinnati or Lexington.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year base, plus an annual commission target of $46,000 - $53,000 per year. This position is also eligible for a company car.   • Increase sales in assigned territory and develop new business opportunities.
  • Launch new products and programs.
  • Achieve territory sales goals.
  • Call on new prospective customers to uncover new opportunities.
  • Utilize product knowledge and sales skills to identify and meet customer needs.
  • Prepare and utilize sales tools to maximize effective customer presentations.
  • Maintain current database for top accounts. This includes GPO and Wholesaler affiliations, key contacts, address, phone, fax, e-mail, etc.
  • Achieve yearly expense budgets.
  • Manage projects in a manner that meets objectives and produces results to grow market share.
  • Interact successfully with customers, sales professionals and other project team members.
  • Expand relationships to include all levels of pharmacy staff (Director of Pharmacy, Supervisors, Clinical, and Pharmacists).
  • Apply effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Contribute to the success of FK, beyond individual territory.
  • Follow up with customers on a regular basis to ensure customer is aware of all products and specials that are currently available.
  • Assists field sales organization on sales related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Business or Science degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year healthcare sales experience or FK inside sales experience preferred; or outside sales experience from another industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel frequently - Air/Auto.
