R&D- Color Lab Supervisor

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. This Lab Supervisor position in our Coil division within the Color Science group will be responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to managing of color science priorities and projects, troubleshooting, and executing on agreed upon development plans for the team.

• Assist in laboratory staffing needs, including hiring, onboarding, training, development, tracking and evaluating performance, and performance management.
• Manages maintenance of priorities and projects with moderate guidance.
• Assists in supporting new business opportunities by prioritizing and developing new or updated formulas; will perform tasks that require comprehensive understanding of chemistry and technology platforms
• Assist in external and internal customer communication and supports customer visits
• Assist with developing project timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management.
• Assist in gathering project data and presenting to stakeholders and management internally.
• Determines corrective action and implements changes, receives direction on medium complex or unique circumstances.
• Applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas.
• Comprehensive understanding of products, formulation, application, industry, and customer requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.
• 2 years of lab experience
• Previous supervisory, mentorship, or training experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of prior management with direct reports experience.
• Coil and/or Extrusion experience.
• Color theory experience.
• Microsoft 365 Apps (PowerApp, etc) experience.
