Manager, Customer Data Strategy & Analytics
Manager, Customer Data Strategy & Analytics is responsible for driving capability development using advanced data analytics techniques and statistical methodologies. This position is pivotal in gathering information and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences. This role will manage a team of data specialists and collaborate closely with senior leadership to foster innovation and aligning analytics strategies with organizational objectives to drive impactful results.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership


  • Manage a growing team of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other data specialists tasked with solving a wide variety of business challenges.
  • Identify strategic priorities with Lines of Business to support acquisition, cross-sell, and retention initiatives.
  • Review opportunities for strategic partnerships with 3rd party data and/or analytics providers to synergize with and augment the team's capabilities.
  • Engage and influence a wide range of partners, from senior leadership to technology teams through the use of high-quality presentations and relationships.
  • Oversee data analytics and insight generation initiatives, providing key inputs to maximize team throughput. Examples include, but not limited to:

    • Identify segmentation opportunities based on statistical modeling guiding the team in implementing these strategies.
    • Drive automation across the board and enable the Data, Strategy, and Analytics team to work more on insights and recommendations.
    • Improve CLV model and leverage model for decision making (acquisition campaign, cross sell, product recommendation, etc.)




Project Management


  • Manage growing demand from all strategic Lines of Business
  • Manage projects and backlog for the Advanced Analytics team
  • Manage relationship and backlog with Model Risk Management ("MRM") team to maintain accurate inventory of models.


Advanced Analytics


  • Lead with hands-on data science and analytics techniques.
  • Ingest, cleanse, analyze and present data with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Design and build models / data applications using advanced statistical methodologies regression, clustering, classification, text mining, web crawling, etc.
  • Design and develop machine learning algorithms.
  • Develop impactful visualizations delivering simplified insights messaging.
  • Produce analysis leveraging Converge data and other sources to produce insights, dashboards, and recommendations.
  • Provide support for model integration collaborating with IT and third-party provider.
  • Implement A/B test scenarios with the frontline through Salesforce, Marketing Cloud.
  • Create high quality presentations to engage/influence a wide range of partners, from senior leadership to technology teams.
  • Own risk process with the MRM team to validate.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 4 years of relevant experience in Business, data, IT, Analytics, Marketing, Project Management or Economics
  • Requires minimum 5 years experience in:

    • SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Web Analytics (Google Analytics/Adobe), Excel Regression Analytics, Machine Learning
    • Proven track record of managing Analytics projects through delivery.


  • Requires 3 years of managing team in an Analytics and/or Data Science function.
  • 1 year of experience in banking, finance, fintech, or another related field preferred.

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
