Welder / Fitter

STS Technical Services is actively hiring experienced Welders / Fitters to join the team at Cutting Edge Fabrication in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and full benefits.

Cutting Edge Fabrication is a leader in producing medium to large complex metal weldments for the transportation, defense, and aerospace industries. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder / Fitter who can take ownership of assigned projects and ensure precision, quality, and on-time completion. You'll work with a variety of materials and fabrication techniques in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

• Perform open table setups
  
• Fit and weld precut and formed components to tight tolerances
  
• Execute MIG welding using solid, metal-core, and flux-core wires
  
• Weld to AWS and ASME standards
  
• Produce fabrications to blueprint specifications
  
• Maintain a high standard of quality across all work
  
• Collaborate with the team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  
• Take on additional duties as needed
  

• At least 3 years of fitting and welding experience
  
• Proficient with various materials including heavy plate, manganese, stainless, AR, alloy, and aluminum
  
• Hands-on experience with hand plasma, torch, squares, grinders, turnbuckles, and related tools
  
• Comfortable operating overhead cranes
  
• TIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding experience is a plus
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
  
• Strong attention to detail and precision
  
• Clear verbal communication and good interpersonal skills
  
• Willing to work overtime when needed
  
• Strong team mindset and a commitment to craftsmanship
