STS Technical Services is hiring an Asphalt Division Manager in Pigeon, Michigan. This is a full-time, leadership-level role for an experienced asphalt professional ready to oversee daily field operations, manage crews, and support strategic business growth. Responsibilities Lead and Manage Division Operations Provide leadership and accountability for the division and its team members Promote and enforce adherence to the company's Core Values, Core Focus, and established policies and procedures Hold team members accountable, issuing disciplinary action or recognition as appropriate Conduct daily training and direction to ensure efficient and effective work performance Complete 30- and 90-day evaluations for new hires and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports Communication and Coordination Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Operations Manager, Sales Team, and direct report team members Keep the Operations Manager informed on key updates and performance issues Ensure team members receive timely and accurate information necessary to perform their duties Coordinate with the Sales Team regarding customer expectations and contract details Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries Communicate equipment issues to the Fleet and Facility Manager without delay Problem Solving and Decision Making Identify and resolve issues within the division as they arise Proactively seek assistance when needed to address larger or complex challenges Quality Control Monitor and enforce quality standards across all accounts managed by the division on a daily basis Purchasing and Resource Management Purchase and manage all products and subcontractor services needed for division operations, including but not limited to crack-fill and line striping materials Scheduling and Logistics Develop and manage crew schedules, adjusting as necessary due to contract changes, weather conditions, or other unforeseen factors Manage multiple crews, including asphalt paving, crack-fill, line striping, and truck drivers Sales Team Support Collaborate with the Sales Team to fully understand contract scopes and work orders Ensure customer expectations are understood and met Assist with lead qualification and measurement for asphalt projects Review all job estimates to ensure accuracy and feasibility Customer Upselling and Lead Generation Identify upsell opportunities and gather information from existing customers to support additional sales efforts Relay qualified leads to the Sales Team to initiate proposals and complete contracts Recruiting and Hiring Actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members Field Training Provide hands-on training for new and existing team members in field operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that's partnered with some of the largest names in the aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, and defense industries.
