ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE BUSINESS: CIRCOR Naval Solutions LOCATION: WARREN MA TITLE: Support B Machinist POSITION DETAILS The Bench Machinist is responsible for operating manual machines, including track Bridgeport machines, to perform precision metalworking tasks according to detailed prints and specifications. This role requires high attention to detail, adherence to close tolerances, and proficiency in various machining operations. *Principal Activities* Plan and perform rough and finish machining on a variety of manual machines including boring, slotting, milling, drilling, counterboring, and other operations on various metals. Set up and operate machines with precision, ensuring proper alignment and support to prevent workpiece distortion. Determine proper operation sequence, select, and set tools in cutting head. Interpret drawings and plan work in proper operational sequence. Indicate work to detect and eliminate run-out. Set up and run machines for multiple operations, using precision measuring tools to inspect parts throughout the machining process. Adjust and position cutting tools for optimal performance. Assist with bench assembly tasks as needed. Ensure consistent production of high-quality parts. Follow all safety and quality protocols. Job Requirements: Requirements: Education/Training/Experience *Knowledge Skills & Abilities* Must be able to read Blueprints/Geometric tolerances. Must be familiar with machine tools and hand tools (micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage). Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable. Some physical effort (avg. 50 lbs.). Standing and walking for up to 9 hours per day. US Citizenship is required for DOD requirements. *Education & Experience* Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining would be a plus. A minimum of three years' manufacturing experience highly preferred.
