Job Title: Chemist Duration : 1 year Location: North Chicago, IL Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on-site role: Onsite Job Description: BS in Chemistry 2-5 yrs. lab experience or Masters Degree. Experienced with instruments including HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, MS, etc. Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP or good understanding of working in regulated environment. Able to present findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills. Lab research experience (academic and / or industry) with proven-track record of presentations/publications (preferred but not required). Requirements: * BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 2-5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or Masters Degree. * Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Chromeleon). * Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP. * Able to present findings to larger groups. * Strong communication skills Responsibilities: * Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks. * Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters.
* Apply basic computer skills including word processing, spread sheets, and instrument related systems. * Presents conclusions of defined experiments. * Ensures safety and GxP requirements are met when performing tasks. * Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of high quality precise dataExperienced with and strong working knowledge of above instruments, with demonstrated strong lab skills. Excellent documentation skills, with GMP/ GLP experience. May have publications, or experience in presentation of findings to scientific organizations.
