Your Team, Your Impact

The Associate Vice President of the Corporate PMO (Program Management Office), will be responsible for driving and evolving the Marvell Product Life Cycle (MPLC), including the cross Marvell program management methodology (PSM) for implementation across all Marvell product development efforts. This position will offer strategic insight across all Marvell development WIP and closely align with BU GM's providing enterprise level review of business priorities. Additionally, the Corporate PMO will be responsible for executive level new project approval meetings and executive reviews of in progress projects. The Corporate PMO is responsible for publishing key cross company project execution analytics. This position will have direct and indirect reports

What You Can Expect

  • Overall responsibility for the Marvell Product Life Cycle and program management methodology for the entirety of Marvell's engineering projects

  • Matrixed leadership of engineering program managers distributed across the engineering organization

  • Responsible for Marvell's product development lifecycle definition, implementation, and control

  • Demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership to drive for changes across the organization

  • Manage the tools and process used for planning and execution of engineering programs across the company

  • Control and track program status at the corporate level

  • Drive continuous improvement of project management capabilities and effectiveness

  • Own data for of all engineering programs and resources and drive insightful analysis to improve execution and planning accuracy

  • Evangelize corporate project management policies, processes and tools to the project management team

  • Responsibility for successful outcome of the corporate project management

  • Drive and spearhead project management governance and top quality executive reporting and program reviews

What We're Looking For

  • The successful candidate will drive consistent engineering program practices across the company to ensure on time delivery of high-quality products. The successful candidate will have both depth and breadth in the related disciplines of achieving production release of large complex engineering programs that involve cross functional organizations, in the forms of Silicon, Packages, Boards, IPs, Software and Design Services. An engineering degree and demonstration of knowledge of industry best practices for program management. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills are a must. Excellent people management and leadership skills are a must.

  • Prior experience leading large cross-functional teams, ideally chip-lead or design front-end. Backend experience a plus

  • Ability to develop a core understanding of the business and analyze trade-offs, priorities and escalations

  • Ability to lead by influence, broad interpersonal skills and EQ to engage at all levels within the organization

  • Excellent people management and leadership skills (direct or indirect reporting)

  • Excellent executive presence and communication (style, form, content)

  • Strong business acumen and ability to add strategic insight affecting business decisions

  • Prior experience presenting to executive teams in a large corporation

  • Prior knowledge of EPM/PM/Lifecycle management and enterprise toolset deployment

  • Ability to determine when change is needed, drive change within an organization and have the EQ for change management

  • This individual has responsibility for Marvell's WIP and should demonstrate an extreme level of ownership and accountability

  • BS/MS in an engineering discipline

  • Being pragmatic, high EQ and integrity is a must

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

212,090 - 317,700, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
