Overview

To support Navy Federal by participating in the development and follow-up analysis of policy and process updates. Create content by quickly and efficiently learning/processing information and by conducting research on subject matter. Utilize a variety of techniques to define and sequence content to provide end-user support for manuals and Navy Federal Systems. To create conceptual approaches and copywriting solutions to support department and enterprise strategic goals and to increase team member engagement, department branding recognition, and ensure team members are informed of activities or conditions that may impact their workday.

Responsibilities

* Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations, requirements, and timelines
* Collaborate with various teams and partners to determine customer requirements and specifications
* Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders, and partners
* Conduct research and preparation of reference material
* Write online reference material, instructions, and communications
* Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material
* Use copywriting/editing methodologies and practices to create marketing communications materials for various digital and print mediums
* Identify, communicate, and resolve technical, tactical, and operational project issues and risks
* Create/produce concepts/copywriting for internal communications and campaigns, identifying the correct message and tone for the audience, message, and intended impact
* Create presentations to stakeholders and management on initiatives, objectives, plans, and results
* Administer and contribute to the development of web content for internal customers
* Ensure communications content is leveraged against latest SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) capabilities to support department brand awareness and maximal accessibility of information across the enterprise
* Perform on-going quality control to ensure accuracy and currency of information, processes, & procedures
* Research marketing communications resources to include creative methods for copy and advertising
* Keep current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory, copyright considerations and communicate changes to staff
* Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflow while navigating ambiguity
* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to compose correspondence that adheres to grammar and Navy Federal writing style and standards
* Ability to capture and translate processes and requirements into easily understood terms
* Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Able to research, compile, and document data, business processes, and workflow
* Comfortable working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
* Working knowledge of PC word processing, database, presentation, and design software skills
* Familiarity with marketing, advertising, direct response, communications principles/production processes and SEM/SEO methodologies
* Experience in creating conceptual approaches and copy solutions for marketing communications campaigns used in most media

Desired:

* Working knowledge of web/internet-based technologies e.g. HTML, trends/issues, management, editing/authoring tools and development
* Working knowledge of Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, Acrobat Pro, and Adobe Experience Manager
* Effective skill analyzing, interpreting, and translating relevant data/processes and requirements into easily understood terms for clear guidelines and instructions
* Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
* Working familiarity with marketing communication production processes
* Pursuing a degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related area of study
