Overview

The speech pathologist is responsible for providing speech, language and swallowing services to outpatients with occasional inpatients including assessment, treatment planning and implementation with related documentation

Responsibilities

Provide diagnostic speech, language and swallowing evaluations for patients referred to department. Therapy is provided under the direction of the attending physician. Responsible for assuring that appropriate patient/family education is carried out for all assigned patients.


Qualifications

MA or MS degree and Iowa licensure in Speech Pathology with certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology preferred.
