The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Donor Stewardship team collaborates with Major Gifts, Foundations, and Planned Giving to engage and steward mid-level donors through personalized, high-impact communication strategies with a focus on Donor Advised Funds (DAF) donors and IRA/Annuity donors. Based in Jacksonville, the team is dedicated to delivering exceptional donor experiences that drive increased funding, broaden reach, and enhance awareness of our mission.

The Donor Stewardship Intern will support donor stewardship by assisting with data, tracking recognition opportunities, and preparing personalized communications while collaborating with teams to engage donors and uphold Wounded Warrior Project's mission.

APPLICANT ALERT: This is a paid internship opportunity for qualified applicants, and requires in-person attendance, three days each week at our Jacksonville, Florida location. This is not a virtual position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support stewardship efforts, including handwritten notes and New Donor Welcome Kits.

  • Accurately import and manage donor data in DMI and Salesforce.

  • Track and follow up on donor recognition opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of the Resource Development team's responsibilities and Wounded Warrior Project's mission and purpose.

  • Collaborate with teams to gather data and identify donors for mailing opportunities.

  • Prepare and send donor letters, impact reports, and gratitude materials as needed.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, working environment.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact.

  • High energy level. Self- starter; willing to take initiative.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • One year of customer service experience.

  • One year of experience using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college.
