Overview

The Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International in Princeton, NJ, needs a Stockroom and Receiving Specialist, to perform physical and clerical duties including being responsible for an inventory stockroom, performing shipping and receiving duties to support Microcircuit or Chip manufacturing operations (will handle incoming and outgoing packages/materials/equipment) and providing back-up support for administration and additional manufacturing tasks as required.

Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) and Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) programs, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI's Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry.



Responsibilities

Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in stockroom ownership, and receiving, shipping and quality inspection of material, chemicals, gases and microcircuit parts. Performing additional tasks such as microcircuit part electrical testing methods and back-up administrative support.

    Maintaining an inventory stockroom to support production manufacturing areas, tasks will include material receiving, placement in stockroom, maintaining inventory levels, and performing internal sales transactions.
  • Receiving, shipping and quality inspection of material, chemicals, gases and microcircuit parts.
  • Entering received item information into appropriate online systems for inventory management.
  • Perform all procedures in line with quality standard MIL PRF 38535 for materials, chemicals, gases and microcircuit parts.
  • Perform electrical testing of microcircuit parts as required to support manufacturing operation.
  • Use a pallet jack or cart to transport items from the receiving area to appropriate manufacturing lab areas or stockroom.
  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor include back-up administration and manufacturing tasks.


Qualifications

  • Minimal 1 year of related experience.
  • HS diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday on site (planned hours from 8:00am - 4:30pm).
  • Must have US Citizenship
  • Accurately entering data, proficient in using bar code systems and operational computer skills.
  • Ability to work standing at least 7 plus hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work safely and incident free.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.

The salary range is: $18.34-$24.33/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
