This Intern will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in consenting and recruiting patients for research studies. Providing background information regarding studies to families, communicating all policies and procedures, and responding to all inquiries
  • Serving as liaison to the families/patients in the research studies, conducted at both on site and off-site locations. Coordinating follow up visits as necessary. Acting as a resource to study participants
  • Assisting in creating and preparing data and analytical summaries for distribution to study research team for review and analysis
  • Participating in the training of newly hired research study assistants, as required
  • Coordinating activities between the hospital and research laboratories to ensure correct testing/processing and sending out instructions specific to the study. Reviewing data collection and data entry, and informed consent procedures ensuring consistency of application for each study
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned or required
  • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls as needed

To qualify, you must have:

  • Completed a minimum of 1 year of education at a 4 year College or University
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data
  • The ability to understand and respond to written or verbal instructions
