Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and execution of effective product strategies that align with business objectives. Leverages metrics, data, and insights to drive informed decision-making and enable cross-functional collaboration.
  • Monitors Profit & Loss and product performance at a state and enterprise level, provides recommendations to improve profitability and identify emerging trends for future product development.
  • Identify external trends and execute statistical analysis on business results to aid in shaping the vision and strategy for the product line.
  • Informs the Product data and analytical needs for reporting entities that move the team toward trend identification, proactivity, and synergy.
  • Effectively utilizes business intelligence data systems, financial/statistical resources and analytical software applications in the creation, display, and reproduction of charts, graphs, and other visualization techniques to aid in product-specific decision-making.
    • Proficient in BI Tooling (i.e., Power BI, Qliksense) and Microsoft Suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Provides consultative guidance, expertise, strategic direction, and provides input to the organization on the assigned product.
  • Serves as a key liaison between Data owners and Product Teams, effectively communicating both data and business concepts/languages across various groups.

  • Leverages a deep understanding of Property and Casualty Insurance Underwriting systems and processes to support the execution of impactful, strategic decisions.
  • Works independently to resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • Applies knowledge of product development methodologies to daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Brings growth mindset to maximizing the customer experience; influences the same with business partners.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to collaboratively establish business requirements for successful implementation initiatives.

Desired Experience

  • Strong business and analytical skills with experience making data driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, eligibility, and pricing.
  • Ability to build relationships across various levels and areas of the organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to build buy-in in necessary product decisions.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to work self-directed and be results driven while collaborating with a team to achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to foster innovation, encourage diversity of thought and incorporate new ideas.
  • Ability to navigate the organization and collaborate across business areas.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range: $80,000.00 - 150,000.00
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
