Lab Aide

Position Description:

Under direct supervision, provide basic support to laboratory functions including maintenance, operation and inventory of equipment and supplies. Support research investigators as needed.

Primary Functions

* Provide clean and sterilized glassware for use in research lab.

* Operate and maintain a variety of basic lab equipment.

* Make and supply media buffers and water to research areas as needed.

* Assist in organizing and setup lab supplies and equipment for individual research investigators.

* Participate in meetings with principal investigator and research staff.

* Evaluate/interpret the validity of data as needed.

Preferred Schedule:



M-F 8AM-5PM

Position Requirements:

Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: Less than high school diploma

Minimum Required Experience: No experience required

Preferred Experience: biomedical research, bioinformatic analysis

Field: biology, biochemistry, computer science, statistics
