Material Handler (Forklift Operator)

Work Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:45 AM-2:30 PM plus overtime as needed.

Work Location: Kirkwood, NY

Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00 + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Kirkwood and may not be applicable to other locations.

Overview

The Forklift Material Handler is to efficiently transport products and materials within the manufacturing facility using manual or forklift methods. Responsibilities include reading orders, organizing and stacking items, applying labels, and staging for loading, all while ensuring safe handling practices.

What you will do:

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and safety checks.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport raw materials and finished goods.
• Supply production areas with materials to maintain workflow.
• Load, unload, lift, move, and stack materials following safety protocols.
• Inspect doors for quality and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to support manufacturing processes.
• Work overtime, extended hours, and weekends as required.
• Lift and handle materials up to 50+ lbs. in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as assigned

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous work experience in a production environment, preferred
• 1-2 years of forklift experience with previous forklift certification, preferred
