Job Duties |
INTERNAL
POSTING: Open to applicants currently employed by the College of Nursing at East Carolina University.
The Concentration/Specialty Director/Coordinator is directly responsible to the Department of Advanced Nursing Practice and Education Chair of the College of Nursing. Each Director is responsible for the overall management of the students and curriculum in the concentration. Duties include:
Providing oversight of curriculum to ensure accreditation/ certification standards are being maintained.
Assisting in writing grants to support concentration initiatives;
Maintaining an accurate database of current and prospective students;
Ensuring each student's program of study is accurate and current;
Ensuring clinical contracts have been finalized prior to student clinical placement;
Conducting regularly scheduled committee meetings with concentration faculty; and
Any additional duties assigned by the department chair.
This appointment is contingent upon the availability of funds. |
Minimum Education/Experience |
DNP or PhD. Certified in leadership specialty. Experience in mid-level or higher leadership role for 5 years or more with experience teaching in nursing leadership specialty. |
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation |
A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license |
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
Administrative experience in the College of Nursing is preferred.
