ECU Department of Campus Living is currently seeking several Marketing Assistants to start during the summer, and then continue on into the 25-26 academic year.
The Marketing Assistant role assists in the development and maintenance of marketing and promotional items within the department. This person will promote Campus Living activities, events, and create posts for social media, publications, and digital signage. Work involves marketing, planning and attending special events: photography, as well as some graphic design and production of materials, public relations and education efforts for departmental programs/initiatives. This role serves as a departmental representative at campus fairs, university events, and assists for preparation for Campus Living summer activities. This role works closely with departments in Campus Living- Housing Operations and Residence Life, as well as collaborating with
ARAMARK Dining marketing teams and
ECU Transit.
The Marketing Assistant tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Public Communications Specialist with a new short-form video series highlighting pieces of the Campus Living department and our partners, mainly in other Student Affairs departments
- Assist with departmental branding and recognition efforts
- Assist with basic departmental graphic design work
- Assist with updating and maintaining digital signage
- Assist with updating content on the departmental social media accounts
- Assist with inventory control for promotional materials
- Assist with show rooms, housing tours, and tabling during
ECU recruitment events
- Assist with administrative work for major department events
- Act as a photographer for important department events/activities
- Brainstorm innovative ideas for future social media posts or series and be a force in putting those ideas into fruition.
- Research and present potential new promotional materials to Public Communications Specialist
- Other general duties as assigned by supervisor or other professional staff
