About This Role
This position is responsible for providing psychiatric care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues. Plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care based on normal/abnormal findings using assessment skills and existing protocols. Assess the need for consultation and collaboration with other team members (i.e. medical providers and/or CAPS clinicians). Refer patients to appropriate campus/community resources. Serve as a mental health consultant to other medical providers and clinicians within the organization. Care is provided by board certified physicians and nurse practitioners, as well as nursing professionals.
