Required:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry


Alternative Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a combination of the qualifying fields.

    • Chemistry
    • Organic Chemistry
    • Biochemistry


  • A PharmD degree with at least 18 GCH in Chemistry or chemistry related coursework such as Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacokinetics, Biopharmaceutics, General Medicine Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Drug Therapy, Toxicology, Compounding, Physical Pharmacy, and Analytical Methods is qualifying.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The following are preferred qualifications:

  • Earned Doctorate from a regionally accredited university.
  • Two years of teaching experience as lead instructor.
  • Teaching experience in a community college and demonstrated interest in and passion for teaching community college students.
  • Familiarity and willingness to employ current pedagogical, instructional, and assessment methods in teaching college students.
  • Demonstrated experience with utilizing a variety of classroom technologies, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Experience working with students from a diverse background.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.



Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; may be required to work different shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.


Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
