The
GW Office of Undergraduate Admissions is dedicated to guiding thousands of students from around the world through the admissions process each year. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking an Undergraduate Admissions Student Information Services Representative, Slate.
Responsibilities include:
- Learn and work within the university's key systems, including the student information system (SIS=Banner), customer relationships management system (CRM= Slate) to process prospective student inquiries and application materials.
- Performs manual data entry, opens and sorts mail, and scans & indexes documents and performs research as necessary.
- Provides customer service to prospective students and their families as well as other internal and external constituents, responding to inquiries via phone or email.
- Reviews and verifies data to ensure data integrity. Runs comprehensive queries in Slate as a quality control measure to ensure data accuracy. Evaluates complex issues in application materials and student records, identifies discrepancies, and provides support and possible resolutions.
- Interprets and applies university policies and procedures applicable to services and functions of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Attends staff and division-wide meetings and assists with special projects as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
- Position is based on GW's Foggy Bottom campus. This position occasionally assists with work in the evening and on weekends depending on the processing load at high volume times of the year.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/
GED, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Customer service experience and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to learn and apply new technologies and processes
- Familiarity with data systems such as Slate, Banner or other CRM/SIS platforms (training provided)
- Experience with data entry, reporting, or administrative support in a professional or educational setting is desired
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
