Severe Service Specialists (Triple S) is a manufacturer's representative and factory authorized automation facility for valves that are engineered to withstand severe applications. Our ADREM line of specialty valves are engineered for the demanding requirements of the chlor-alkali industry. We pride ourselves on knowing our customers' processes and being able to provide flow control solutions. Triple S is also an authorized automation facility for Mogas, Adams, L&T, and other valve lines we represent.

Severe Service Specialists is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

The Shipping & Receiving Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers responsible for selecting product and preparing it for same day shipping via expedited carrier services.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries and shipments in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained on commonly used parts
  • Track and monitor freight costs
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Act as point of escalation for any shipping related issues. Responsible for timely resolution to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform Quality Control steps on outgoing and incoming shipping processes.
  • Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Prepare, examine and pack outbound product, ensuring quality and accuracy in all phases of shipping.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

A must...

  • Minimum of a high school education and one year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
  • OSHA Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Proficient in Spreadsheet and Word Processing Software.
  • Proficient in Shipping and Receiving Software.
  • Preferred licensed forklift operator.
