Role and responsibilities
- To be the senior commercial lead in the US, covering the US market, selling advertising, listings and sponsorship into all products across the Boat International Media portfolio, across print, digital, data and events.
- Deliver all products / patches within remit to Budget.
- Primary focus for 2025: to drive revenues for BOAT International US magazine.
- To be the commercial lead and representative on sales projects, working closely with the Editor, Specialist Consultant, COO and CEO to ensure monthly revenue targets are hit (driving both new business and renewals), the Florida market is covered effectively with face-to-face meetings, and new revenue opportunities are identified and delivered.
- To regularly deliver advertiser feedback as the project develops to BOAT senior Management team.
Forecasting:
- Primarily focusing on weekly forecasting on projected revenues for the issue, month and quarter.
- Daily Sales meeting: Join the daily sales meeting with BOAT team to deliver daily booking, forecast and opportunity updates.
- Direct Report: US Sales Executive (Ft Lauderdale based)
- To manage, mentor and develop existing Ft Lauderdale based Sales Executive
- Industry networking events - Attend and represent Boat at all key industry weekly events and open houses in the Fort Lauderdale area, face to face on a weekly basis
- Boat Shows:Attend and represent Boat at all key US Boat Shows

- Extensive Events Industry Experience: Proven track record of selling digital media and multimedia solutions, ideally at a senior level and to senior stakeholders.
- Leadership in Sales Strategy: Demonstrated ability to drive multimedia sales strategies, delivering tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.
- Client Relationship Excellence: Skilled in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, meeting with them regularly to identify opportunities and deliver additional revenues.
- Self-Motivated and Results-Oriented: You are creative, driven, and focused on achieving exceptional outcomes in a competitive environment.
- Data-Driven Focus: Take ownership of forecasting and delivering sales performance for your client base, sharing progress and pledges in daily sales meetings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering alignment across departments.
Experience:
- Must have senior sales experience
- A proven track record in and understanding of media sales
- Proven sales success selling advertising and sponsorship to the Florida and US Superyacht marine sector (print, digital, event sponsorship), with existing client contacts.

Vacation Entitlement
- 25 days paid vacation per year plus public holidays.
- Vacation to be taken at mutually agreeable times and when it does not adversely affect the business.
- Vacation does not accrue and cannot be exchanged for payment.
- Vacation for the current year pro-rated based on start date.
- The Company also offers up to an additional 3 days' paid time off during the Christmas office closure period. This applies to all staff employed during the closure period regardless of their start date or if notice has been given. These days do not form part of the annual leave entitlement.
