*Description*
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Prior Authorization Specialist to assist with processing prior authorizations for diagnostic medical imaging and procedures. This role ensures timely approvals by coordinating with insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and patients. Previous prior authorization and insurance verification experience is required as they do not have resources to fully train the process to someone with zero experience. This role will work out of a que where they will will be doing mostly obtaining authorizations - review list of patient info and insurance info, pull exam information, enter info into the portal, acquire authorizations, and push to scheduling. This role will be doing the high volume, entry level work mostly. This role will be obtaining around 40 authorizations a day. Must have recent prior authorization experience and experience using EPIC, Evicore, Carelong, RadMD or Jiva as these are the systems they will be pulling insurance info from. Looking for a team player, someone who is detail oriented, and understands this job is a crucial role for the team! Daily Duties: Submit and track prior authorization requests with insurance companies. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits. Follow up on pending authorizations to ensure timely approvals. Communicate authorization status and requirements to healthcare providers and patients. Maintain accurate documentation of authorization requests and outcomes. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation. Address denials or escalations as needed. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Recent Prior authorization and insurance verification experience required Previous experience using Evicore, Carelong, RadMD or Jiva preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and insurance portals is a plus. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
