(Onsite - Morristown, NJ) *Why Work here?* *Opportunity to gain experience in the health and medical field, supporting a leading hospital network *Valuable exposure to top hospital networks. *Balanced work-life schedule. *Qualifications:* *Minimum 1 year of hospital authorization verification experience *Familiarity with patient registration, insurance verification, and precertification processes *Prior experience using insurance portals. *High school diploma or GED **Medical screenings Required* *Position Purpose: *The Authorization Specialist will be responsible for completing full financial clearance for upcoming scheduled visits, including insurance verification, pre-registration, and authorization. Duties include submitting authorization requests with applicable clinical documentation to payers, following up for determinations, and escalating cases as necessary to ensure pre-service approvals. *Work Environment:* *Department: Patient Financial Services Pre-registration & Insurance Verification *Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
