Position Summary We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Project Controls Manager with relevant heavy civil construction experience to support all Branch Civil projects. This position, reporting to the Vice President of Construction Support Services, will support execution teams by establishing, enforcing, and monitoring project cost and administrative activities from the design phase to project close out. We are looking for a Project Controls specialist with a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step to multi-project oversight or someone currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment. The primary objective is to support the execution of Branch Civil projects by developing administrative protocols for the business unit, guiding startup project teams to ensure consistency within the business unit, monitoring compliance, managing risk, and tracking outcomes. Qualifications
Travel This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary. Supervisory Responsibility Directly supervises one to three employees while training and mentoring project engineers throughout the business unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
