Service Technician - Bohemia, NY - Onsite

What will you accomplish together with us:

• Perform calibrations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Complete all related documentation for each service performed. Example: SAP service reports, calibration documents, and test certifications.
• Strict adherence to all site Health and Safety requirements as mandated by the customer and Sartorius.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Must be able to stand or work standing up for long periods of time.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor that fall into the knowledge and skills requirements of the position.

What will convince us:

• You have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalency.
• 2+ years' experience using test equipment, including multimeters and/or troubleshooting.
• Electro-mechanical experience and/or training.
• Experience with installation of software and firmware updates/testing.
• Experience with customer maintenance/best practice training.
• Must have recently worked with and can measure AC/DC voltages.
• Valid Driver's License (clear of moving violations and DUI history) and Passport (or ability to get one).

• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Repair and troubleshooting experience.
• You possess hands-on experience calibrating and repairing equipment, motors, electromechanical assemblies, etc.
• Proficiency with computers using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Ability to use small hand tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish sound relationships with team members and customers.
• A good understanding of mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Compensation for this position will be a base salary between $30/hour to $35/hour, depending on experience.
