Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator

GCBHS has an immediate full-time opening for a Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator. This position works in collaboration with two Hamilton County Boards and three other vocational rehabilitation providers in a partnership to provide vocational rehabilitation services to adults and transition youth with severe and persistent mental illness and developmental disabilities in Hamilton County, Ohio.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with severe mental health issues in planning for employment using a supported employment model.
• Collaborate with supported employment providers and manage caseload to support client progress.
• Facilitate assessments and gather information to develop vocational goals.
• Coordinate job placement, retention activities, and employer engagement.
• Maintain accurate case records according to policies and regulations.
• Develop individualized employment plans based on client needs and goals.
• Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support throughout the employment process.
• Advocate for clients by engaging with employers and community partners.
• Educate clients on workplace expectations and skills for job retention.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports and documentation.
• Conduct follow-up sessions to evaluate job stability and address any concerns.
• Develop relationships with local businesses to expand employment opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops on resume building, interviewing skills, and job readiness.
• Provide crisis intervention support when employment challenges arise.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client support.
• Stay informed on changes in vocational rehabilitation regulations and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and client staffing as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation, Social Work, or related field with 2 years of experience, or a Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling/Counseling preferred.
• Licensure as a Counselor in the State of Ohio preferred.
• Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) preferred.
• Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurable driving record required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to assess and address a range of medical, psychological, and social factors impacting clients.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work within the State electronic record system, established timelines, outcomes, and workflow processes.
