JOB PURPOSE: The Community Outreach Liaison is responsible for interacting with local service providers, and community members. Establishing and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, as well as federal, state, and local agencies to understand concerns and gather information for drafting recommendations to improve the delivery of shelter services. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Establishing and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, as well as federal, state, and local agencies to understand concerns and gather information for drafting recommendations to improve the delivery shelter services. * Disseminating information regarding resources/referrals of programs. * Initiating, developing, and conducting special events, workshops, seminars, and other meetings to educate, inform, and stimulate community program participation. Attend community events as a representative of the Endeavors. * Coordinates and conduct classes, workshops, and demonstrations to teach principles, techniques, or methods in a variety of Life Skills. Position may also secure other community members to provide presentations and training. * Submits data to Salesforce and other platforms and works on continuously on improving the outreach process and other administrative duties. * Completes written reports and documentation of plans, projects, and results. * Coordinates homelessness related planning and activities with other local government agencies, City staff and other community-based organizations. * Responds to residents' concerns and inquiries in a courteous manner. * Represents both shelters in Austin area Northbridge and Marshalling Yard. * Serves as liaison between two shelters and represents them at City meetings. * Participates and maintains good relationships between organizations, community members, and clients. * Perform other duties as directed and assigned. * Demonstrate Exceptional customer service, in Everything you do, by placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to "Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degreed preferred, with a minimum of 2 years' experience conducting a combination of life skills and outreach. EXPERIENCE: Two years' work or volunteer experience working with unhoused populations desired, support groups, peer mentoring, life skills. Outgoing, pleasant, professional manner; the ability creates and maintain contacts in the community; and clear articulation in providing informative presentations about shelter operations. Experience in a social service environment a plus. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Driver's License with a clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
