The compensation manager will be responsible for managing a compensation program, developing and implementing compensation policies and procedures, continually evaluating compensation throughout the organization, and working with upper-level management to continually evaluate and develop a compensation strategy.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Manage and administer the various compensation programs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend cost-effective changes consistent with compensation trends and business objectives.
  • Audit, evaluate, and monitor additional earnings codes for consistency across the business.
  • Maintain Mercer file with all positions and changes to positions.
  • Lead the annual review of all bonus programs.
  • Review and understand the job descriptions to evaluate job positioning within the company.
  • Partner with HR Managers and managers to provide advice on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Design creative solutions for specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans.
  • Develop wage and hour and compensation training for managers.
  • Oversee participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations, including wage and hour.
  • Support with HR Projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Analytical skills to work with large amounts of data; ability to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, and strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively organize, structure, and prepare data.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems.



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation.
  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
  • HRIS reporting experience.



Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:



  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10lbs.
  • Frequently sitting/standing/walking in office environment.



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
