What you will experience in this position:

As an NPI Test Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our NPI Manufacturing Engineering team, developing innovative testing processes and equipment for new products. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your experiences and skills will contribute to teams developing new products with velocity, helping chart the direction of manufacturing and operations in our rapidly growing Data Solutions business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement testing processes and equipment for new products.
  • Contribute to capital equipment planning.
  • Develop specifications for and own the planning, quoting, procurement, and qualification of new testing equipment.
  • Integrate Design for Test principles into new products.
  • Collaborate with production controls engineering team on new testers, and hand off support once the equipment is qualified.
  • Develop and maintain databases to track testing results and equipment performance.
  • Develop helium leak testing and functionality testing for complex hydraulic electro-mechanical systems.
  • Apply modular design principles to testing equipment and processes.
You have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production test engineer or similar position.
  • Experience developing and supporting production end-of-line testing.
  • Experience developing and building testing equipment and/or managing projects with machine builders.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communications protocols.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment and production testing processes.
  • Proficiency in database management.
  • Experience with helium leak testing.
  • Knowledge of modular design principles is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
