Responsibilities The Oklahoma Heart Hospital is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary health care and deliver specialized medical services under the supervision of a physician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive medical assessments, taking detailed medical histories, interpreting findings, and performing clinical evaluations to ensure optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities: Medical History and Assessments: Accurately gather patient medical histories and perform thorough assessments of medical conditions. Clinical Documentation: Interpret findings, maintain accurate patient records, and document clinical evaluations and reports in compliance with hospital protocols. Patient Interaction: Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure effective communication and care delivery. Patient Care: Prepare and manage new patients in the clinic, and follow up on existing patients' appointments in a dedicated clinic. Hospital Rounding: Conduct evaluations for new consults at clinical sites, including History & Physical (H&P) exams and discharge summaries. Physician Support: Assist with physician pager calls during procedures and provide additional support as directed by the physician. Qualifications Nurse Practitioner- National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in the following specialties: Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AG-AC NP) or Acute Care Current BLS certification required. Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. Experience: Cardiology experience preferred.
