The Strategy & Business Development Manager supports will be responsible for developing and supporting strategic, market analysis, and business planning activity for Stanford Medicine Children's Health (SMCH). This role will report to the Director of Strategic Planning and support all strategic and business planning efforts across SMCH. The Strategy & Business Development Manager serves as a lead consultant for the implementation of strategic and business plans; ensures collaborative relationships are built and maintained to advance these plans. This role will also support service line leaders and the business development team in identifying internal and external market analysis, business planning, and volume forecasting/budgeting.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
  • Responsible for supporting strategic, market analysis and business planning activity for SMCH. Supports the Director and VP of Strategic Planning with annual planning efforts.
  • Manages and partners with key strategic and operational leaders on the development and implementation planning of vision, strategy and corresponding tactics
  • Assists with market and data analysis of competitive and market conditions including overall trends and forecasting. Evaluates and recommends opportunities for growth and development. Stays abreast on pediatric and healthcare environment.
  • Through the strategic planning function, assesses the ongoing competitiveness of LPCH's clinical services and LPCH's position in selected markets. Maintains ongoing environmental assessment for those services and geographic markets.
  • Leads special analyses and reports related to strategic financial and statistical reports as requested.
  • Participate in project presentations to management or executive teams.
  • Assess, recommend and utilize competitor profiles, demographics, patient volume, financial performance and CRM databases to support planning and business development activities.
  • Identify, review, analyze and contribute the latest sources of information to develop key findings, opportunities or threats for Stanford Children's Health and Stanford Medicine.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Master's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university
Experience: Seven (7) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
License/Certification: None required.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of health care and physician organizational structures.
  • Knowledge of health plan and payer economics.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate complex data to a general audience.
  • Ability to work with individuals from a variety of disciplines within and outside the organization.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $71.91 to $95.36
