Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for developing tailored technical approaches and solutions in support of strategic pursuits for the Global Defense and Security Sector, focusing on data science, artificial intelligence, and systems/software solutions. The candidate will report to the Sector Vice President for Growth, collaborating with operational and capture leads to develop tailored offerings and solutions, leveraging the entirety of the Arcfield Enterprise, from across all four Sectors. The candidate will operate in a boundary-less environment across the enterprise, collaborating across the company and with industry partners to cultivate responsive technical approaches for customers leading to capturing and winning new business. In addition to the organic capabilities of the Sector, you will also have access to a larger Enterprise-wide capability suite of tools and professionals and the ability to leverage existing programs and past performance for work in DoD and the IC. Immediate focus areas will range from space architectures and sensors, materials analyses supporting missile system development, innovations for hypersonics test & evaluation, digital modernization, and model-based systems engineering, all of which with the intent of leveraging the enterprise to broaden and expanding the company's offerings.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Opportunity Development

  • Develop, cultivate, and mature enterprise-wide competencies in a number of strategic capability areas (as defined by the business) which align with the growth goals of the organization. Examples include: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Cloud Services, Data Sciences, etc.
  • Drive seamless integration and optimization by ensuring alignment of sector growth goals and strategic objectives with internal research and development (IRAD) investment decisions and intellectual property (IP) creation to maximize strategic growth.
  • Monitor market trends, funding priorities, and competitor activities, and maintain awareness of technology trends and innovations.
  • Provide customer feedback to GDSS leads to improve solution offerings.
  • Attend and participate in industry events and thought leadership opportunities, and support or lead white paper and RFI responses, and proposals.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as required, in support of customer engagements, conferences, and industry days

Capture Strategy and Solutioning

  • Develop strategic technical roadmaps using current and future technology advancements to support the customers' vision and goals
  • Lead capture strategies for opportunities, developing win strategies based on competitive analysis and customer needs
  • Define, refine, and validate solutions to meet customer requirements and provide optimum value
  • Lead customer briefings, presentations, and solution demonstrations to ensure the company's solutions effectively address customer needs and requirements
  • Provide regular updates on capture progress to senior leadership.
  • Inventory and maintain a comprehensive view of Arcfield's relevant technologies, human capital, and intellectual property to provide an integrated and overarching common operating picture for the business.

Creation of Technical Content

  • Oversee proposed solutions by translating requirements into end-to-end designs for systems that involve multiple interfaces and technologies, ensuring compliance with Government solicitations.
  • Generate solution artifacts (prose, OV-1 graphics, statistics, etc.) that can be used in proposals, RFIs, and white papers.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are well-positioned with innovation, scalability, and compliance with Government standards.
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, and pricing teams to create compelling, compliant solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for GDSS throughout the proposal and capture process.
  • Provide independent assessments for technical feasibility, cost estimates, and risk during the capture process.

Teaming and Partnership Development

  • Assist the integration of capabilities and best practices into Sector capture processes, identifying technologies and raising awareness of capabilities extant to the business, while externally engaging to develop strategic partnerships in leading-edge technologies to enhance the company's competitive positioning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Meet with new and existing customers to reinforce the value of our solutions and introduce innovations and new technologies.
  • Consult with prospective clients, utilizing the company's expertise, services, and systems to propose solutions that will foster successful business relationships.

Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Work independently, without direct program supervision, and in a mixed teaming environment across various stakeholders in Arcfield, including individual contributors, engineers, project managers, and executive leadership, to build consensus around proposed designs
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as win rates, pipeline growth, and proposal success rates
  • Continuously refine capture processes and strategies, applying lessons learned to improve future outcomes
  • Leverage market intelligence to refine capture approaches and improve win probabilities

Qualifications

  • BS 16-18, MS 14+, PhD 10
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
  • Experience demonstrating strong analytical and process skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of complex organizations (government and/or corporate)
  • Ability to develop customized technical approach/solution presentations tailored to client needs and requirements
  • Experience delivering cyber, cross-domain solutions, information technology, and C5ISR solutions to senior US Government and international customers
  • Current Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in data and/or computer science, electrical engineering and/or systems engineering
  • Relevant experience working at a large systems integrator or sub-system developer
