The CI Coordinator position works in partnership with the plant leadership, TPM Coordinator, and TPM pillar teams to develop and execute strong FI processes and practices that drive business results.

The position is responsible for driving focused improvement initiatives and integrating FI into the Minneapolis culture with a goal of achieving zero losses. This is accomplished by generating a high level of employee engagement and utilizing various FI problem solving tools. This position assists with educating employees and leadership on the importance of their engagement toward expanding focused improvement efforts and sharing best practices. This includes leading improvement projects, participating in the execution of training plans for employees and assisting in training on focused improvement efforts.

• Partnering with employees in all TPM areas to drive engagement,

• Drive focused improvement in downtime/slowtime, quality, productivity and
• reduction of costs during the Journey to JIPM Certification
• TPM FI Pillar execution
• Measured improvement of the Owens Corning TPM Audit/Assessment

Scores

Active participant in safety practices at the plant

• Complete all required plant safety training
• Lead by example in all safety initiatives
• Notify member of Minneapolis Leadership Team in the case of any accident, near miss, or on-the-job injury
• Comply with all plant rules, safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Demonstrate the commitment to TPM and the plant's mission in driving to zero losses; fostering open communication, employee engagement, and autonomous operation
• Support Pillar Leaders to coordinate the expansion and effectiveness of the Minneapolis site TPM teams

• Train, coach, and develop all levels of leadership and teams on TPM and FI tools
• Develop standard operating procedures, standard work, OPLs, and other tools
• Educate and coach the team on how to effectively execute lean processes and techniques
• Attend all TPM meetings, working with leaders to advance team capabilities in problem solving, critical thinking, and analysis of issues to root cause solutions
• Facilitate problem solving methods
• Drive results of Autonomous Maintenance (AM), steps 1-3 completion
• Partner with the T&D training team to create and deliver knowledge-based training on FI steps
• Perform the role of process expert for FI
• Lead FI efforts in all TPM areas to drive to zero losses

Display effective leadership competencies and continued efforts in self-development

• Plan, organize, and coordinate several events and improvement activities at the same time
• Provide guidance and support for problem solving and problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and working relationships
• Give regular feedback to employees and the leadership team on the progress of FI activities and events
• Able to perform and coordinate administrative tasks relative to any TPM and FI initiatives
• Become a certified Lean Facilitator/Lean Practitioner and Six Sigma Green Belt
• Participate in various internal training seminars and conferences
• Lead by example in all safety initiatives
• Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job, as instructed by Site Leader

A strong candidate must be able to:

* Operate a computer and other keyboard instruments

* Become proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other job-related software,

such as SAP, POP AspenTech, and Minitab

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* 2+ years related experience and/or training in an industrial environment,

preferably in roofing manufacturing

* 2-year degree or higher is preferred

* Formal training in Lean/Six Sigma is preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

A strong candidate should possess the ability to:

* Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs without assistance

* Ability to routinely lift up to 80 lbs with assistance

* Work for up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment

* Operate/sit/drive, as required during shift work lasting 12 hours.

* Routinely ascend and descend stairs and forklift to enter work areas

* Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - steel toed

shoes, ear plugs, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as

necessary for task

* Push/drive floor sweeping and cleaning equipment or tools as necessary

for housekeeping duties

* Schedule flexibility as needed to accommodate operation needs
