We are looking for a candidate with highly developed organization and logistics skills that can help our Sector effectively manage physical spaces.

In this position, your primary responsibility will be to assist in coordinating and administering the Sector's physical space inventory. Additionally, you will coordinate office moves, overseeing the seamless transition of furniture, equipment, and property while managing record-keeping and documentation. This role also involves handling service, carpentry, and maintenance requests for SES. You will support the operations and logistics for onsite Sector engagements and events, including setup, execution and tear-down.

As a Facilities and Property Coordinator you will...

  • Assist in coordinating and administering the Sector 's physical space inventory, furniture, and property/ surplus throughout all staff offices, technical labs, teaming areas, conference rooms and storage. Maintain floor plans and space allocation records (category use) to include centralized enterprise staff databases and lists.
  • Coordinate office moves to ensure seamless handling of furniture, equipment, property, and floor loading to include record keeping and documentation. Manage Service, Carpentry, and Maintenance requests for SES.
  • Assist with operations and logistics for onsite Sector engagements and events. Including setup and tear-downon onsite.
  • Complete ad-hoc and special projects at the request of SOF Supervisors, and/or the Operations Executive (OE) as needed.
  • Occasionally operate APL vehicles.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Have five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience coordinating and tracking facilities, furniture, equipment, and related property for relocation/ move/ installation and inventory; or a Bachelor's degree and two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Have managed relevant facilities, property, or equipment projects and associated tasks to successful completion within performance, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Are a practical performer capable of completing multiple tasks simultaneously and delivering demonstrable results before deadlines.
  • Possess strong organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills including delivery of customer centric support and assistance within a fast-paced, multitasking technical environment across all staff levels.
  • Are a continuous learner and self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
  • Are proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Have the ability to lift fifty pounds.
  • Have the flexibility to work non-standard business hours and to be on- call to support mission critical operations and/ or sponsor events.
  • Possess a valid state-of-residence driver's license in good standing.
  • Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have...

  • Ten (10) or more years of demonstrated experience coordinating and tracking facilities, furniture, equipment, and related property for relocation/ move/ installation and inventory with progressively more responsibility, and oversight.
  • Familiarity with Tririga and/or eQuip.
  • Experience prioritizing large-scale office and facilities moves.
  • Experience handling vendor and customer relationships.
  • Experience crafting effective performance and cost agreements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
