*Description*
This will be a mid-range position as opposed to senior. The max target conversion salary is $107k. The Unix Systems Engineer II is responsible for the deployment and support of UNIX Server based operating systems. Regular job responsibilities will involve making design decisions, developing team standards and documentation that is based on the goals of project initiatives and/or changing business needs. The Unix Systems Engineer II also will be responsible for: supporting a variety of UNIX technologies including AIX and Linux, completion of customer and team driven projects, and resolving incidents, requests and tasks routed through Service Now. This includes participating in a 24/7 On Call rotation for Priority Level 3 and higher service calls. For this specific position, we are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Linux Platform Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in process and workflow/pipeline automation, with significant experience administering and managing an Ansible automation platform. Key Responsibilities: *Automation Frameworks: Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Ansible or Terraform. *Programming/Scripting Skills: Proficiency with programming/scripting languages (e.g.: Bash, Python, Java, Perl). *Support Architecture and Development: Assist with the architecture, design, development, integration, platform support, deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across Linux computing environments. *Optimize Practices: Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management. *Collaborative Solutions: Work closely with Infrastructure engineers and DevOps teams to implement strategic business solutions. *Operational Support: Provide operational support for the platform. *3+ years of experience with Linux platform administration, automation, and support *Administrative Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency with Red Hat Linux (RHEL7 or higher), or their vendor equivalents. *Troubleshooting Expertise: Experience troubleshooting applications and infrastructure services on Linux-based OS. *CI/CD Pipeline Tools: Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g.: Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, GitLab). *Cloud Services Exposure: Exposure to cloud-based web services such as Azure, AWS, GCP *Multi-Discipline Infrastructure: Experience with compute, networks, and virtualization infrastructure. *Skills* Unix, Systems engineering, Ansible, Linux, Unix shell scripting, Windows *Top Skills Details* Unix,Systems engineering,Ansible,Linux,Unix shell scripting,Windows *Additional Skills & Qualifications* - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - A proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
