Video: What We Do

Assists the Engineering department with the maintenance of the traveler system, learn the basics of our engineering processes in RDE/Welding discipline. Interns may be assigned projects with some degree of ownership dependent on knowledge and skillset. Interns may be assigned to manipulate and inspect parts and obtain data in support of reverse engineering activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assists in creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering input, engineering drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities.
  • Assists in development and refinement of work instructions, work scopes and Travelers
  • Works under the direction and supervision from a mentor or other engineering team members to perform reverse engineering tasks related to the development of new repairs, products, technical procedures and/or processes
  • Assists in the creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering judgement, drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities
  • Collects data and maintains metrics using Microsoft Office suite
  • Maintains safe and orderly work areas, understands and is compliant with organization's policies and procedures
  • Works safely following all health, safety and environmental rules and policies.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity as set forth in our Code of Business Conduct and our Principles of Business Conduct, Policies and Procedures.
  • Effectively participates in a team environment that promotes the company's goals and objectives.
  • Read, write, speak, and effectively communicate in English.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Product Engineering Manager.



EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS



  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering or another related Engineering degree required.


COMPUTER SKILLS



  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
