Senior Manager of Attack Surface Management (ASM)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Attack Surface and Vulnerability Management Leader. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing a highly skilled team performing identification, monitoring, and reduction of our organization's vulnerabilities and attack surface. You will lead efforts to enhance our security posture and maturity, ensuring that our systems and networks are protected against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. This position requires a deep understanding of security technologies, threat modeling, and vulnerability management, as well as a proven track record in leading security initiatives and teams.

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

Lead a team to:

• Ensure regular vulnerability monitoring and detection across the entire hybrid cloud infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities in software, hardware, network, and other IT assets.
• Maintain a centralized vulnerability management system, which integrates and prioritizes vulnerabilities into a dashboard for tracking and reporting vulnerabilities in real-time
• Develop a mitigation strategy to remediate vulnerabilities while partnering with system and application owners in the most effective and efficient manner
• Facilitate vulnerability remediation with SLA by applying patches or updating system configurations
• Ensuring continuous monitoring to identify new vulnerabilities that may emerge
• Integrate within the Risk function to manage approved risk exceptions pertaining to vulnerabilities
• Support Compliance functions to ensure Lumen maintains pertinent certifications such as PCI and CMMC
• Partner with Incident Response to ensure threats are contained rapidly

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in information security leadership, with at least 3 years focused in Vulnerability Management
• Experience with threat modeling, security design reviews, and security architecture
• Experience with Vulnerability Management tools such as Tenable, CrowdStrike Spotlight, Axonius, Wiz and ServiceNOW
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
• Experience with Cloud security architecture and deployment models
• Experience with securing highly sensitive data
• Demonstrate knowledge of security technologies, trends, leading practices, and regulatory requirements and government security standards such as PCI, CMMC, FedRAMP and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) standards, along with best practices such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001-27002 and other applicable security and privacy laws.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
