SME Project Manager

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking SME Project Manager to support the Defense Logistic Agency DLA mission. As a SME Project Manager you will manage and work with a technical team consisting of engineers, developers, and analysts as you sustain and enhance a newly delivered system that verifies dates and conditions of employment of overseas visa candidates through a secure web portal. Remote, Occasionally trips to Ft. Belvoir, VA

Responsibilities:

• Sustainment: Keep the system operating smoothly and securely including application administration, help desk, issue management support, configuration management, and instance management support (sustainment) .
• Enhancement: Keep the system operating with up-to date upgrades and change requests in a manner consistent with product owner policies to include application maintenance, patch and upgrade management, technical infrastructure maintenance, change request management, and O&M Operating Procedures Maintenance.
• Oversees all aspects of the contractor's support of all tasks, including planning, organizing, staffing, directing, integrating, and controlling activities necessary for all tasks to meet schedule, and performance requirements.
• Manages all day-to-day operations including administrative functions, assessing risks, identifying assumptions, and resolving interpersonal conflicts.
• Responsible for the duties, tasks, and activities required to make the program/project successful.
• Actively participates in the management decision-making process.

Minimum Requirements:

• Undergraduate Degree
• 10 years of experience in IT/logistics project or program management.
• Experience in DoD logistics functions (e.g., finance, supply, contract administration, transportation, project management).
• Exceptional communication and management skills who can engage with leadership, Policy leadership regarding issues related to the client system application.
• Experience using MS Project.
• Possess an active Project Management certification (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, other recognized certification, etc.).
