Sr. Electrical Engineer Jacksonville, Florida Pay From: $150,000 per year MUST: Experienced Sr. Electrical Engineer Active registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering (required). Min. 10 years of professional experience in code-compliant electrical design for facilities and infrastructure. Experience in mission-critical systems such as power distribution, lighting, and communication infrastructure required Extensive background in both new construction and renovation project support. In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE C2 (NESC), International Building Code, and NAVFAC/Military specs and design standards. Familiarity with project design tools including AutoCAD and/or REVIT, Microsoft Office, and electrical engineering software. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and present technical findings. Understanding project budgeting, planning, and management processes. Knowledge of interdisciplinary design coordination (e.g., architectural, mechanical) for system integration. Fire Protection & Life Safety Systems preferred DUTIES: Supporting the Engineering and Design Division (D4) of the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL), providing expert input into Navy and Marine Corps facilities development Experienced electrical design professional who is passionate about safety, systems integration, and technical excellence. Conduct site visits and electrical assessments to establish system design requirements for new construction and renovation projects Review A&E design submittals for compliance with electrical code standards and provide feedback to ensure quality, safety, and integration Oversee or support electrical acceptance testing and commissioning, offering troubleshooting support and recommendations Ensure electrical systems meet applicable codes and support the full facility lifecycle-from planning to operation and maintenance Collaborate across engineering and architectural disciplines to develop holistic, integrated facility designs Deliver solutions for a wide range of facility types including admin, industrial, airfields, medical, security, waterfront, and housing Design interior/exterior lighting, power distribution, standby generation, telecommunications, CCTV/security, controls, and grounding systems Support medium-voltage systems, substations, transformers, and underground/overhead distribution planning Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
